Startup Center Nis is an incubator for young people’s ideas and business ventures. We offer support to entrepreneurial spirit and the development of creativity among students, as well as innovative start-up companies in the field of science and advanced technologies on their path to maturity.
Our vision includes a contribution to the City of Nis in becoming a regional center for dynamic development of innovative technological entrepreneurship, international promotion of projects and companies in the south and eastern regions of Serbia, as well as strengthening the global competitiveness of the entire Republic of Serbia.
It was established as a joint initiative of the Faculty of Electronic Engineering and the City of Nis and it represents the first step towards building the Science Technology Park in Nis.

Startup Center Nis is announcing a Public Call for potential tenants for utilizing services and connecting with a goal of developing innovative entrepreneurship and supporting young adults in starting their own businesses.
If you are part of a team developing innovative idea and plans to build their own startup or if you already are a registered innovative technological company, active less than two years, put in an application and join the Startup Center community!
The selection of tenants is conducted through three steps: firstly, pre-selection based on sent documentation then interviews with candidates and lastly, a final decision based on the process of evaluating and the aforementioned interview.
The applications are permanently opened until the space capacity is full.

The Hackathon is a twenty-four-hour team competition to create an application on a given topic, which will be held at the Faculty of Electronic Engineering in Nis and the Startup Center Nis from November 8 to 10, 2019, organized by SICEF.
The topic is unknown to participants before the start of the competition and will be announced at the opening ceremony of Hackathon. Hackathon's main goals are to foster innovation, creativity and opportunities for young people to gain invaluable team and pressure experience, since it takes 24 hours to create an original application that will appeal to a large group of users and be properly implemented.
This SEE ICT and UNICEF project that involves conducting free robotics programming trainings for kids is being implemented in 12 cities in Serbia, and will be held in Nis in partnership with the Startup Center.
The idea of the project is that children, aged 11 to 14 years, acquire basic programming knowledge through training and develop an interest in this topic.
Participants will have the opportunity to meet and play with robots that can run, jump, draw, swim, play and perform various other stunts. Day by day, during 3 training sessions of 3 hours each, they will learn how to control the robots themselves, using a simple program code. By going through these trainings, we want to introduce children to new technologies that will help them develop new interests and skills that are useful in everyday life.
In the last term of the seminar for aspiring young physicists, there will be two lectures organized by the Nis Young Minds Section. Visitors will have the opportunity to hear popular science lectures, “Mathematics and physics - are they worth one without the other?” (Petra Laketa, assistant at the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science, Nis) and “Quantum physics - reality or fiction?” (Jasmina Jeknic - Dugic, associate professor at the Department of Physics, Faculty of Science, Nis).
The 12th International IEEESTEC Student Projects Conference will host a competition for the best business idea on Advanced Technology for Humanity: Sustainable Engineering. The Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development invites representatives of the professional public, state bodies, public services, businesses and other interested participants to familiarize themselves with the text of the Draft Strategy for the Development of Artificial Intelligence in the Republic of Serbia for the period 2020-2025. as well as to give their suggestions, suggestions and comments.

Gameathon is an intensive weekend workshop hosted by Exe Play and the Startap Center that allows designers, developers, stage designers and musicians to team up, collaborate and develop prototypes of video game art projects.
After introductory inspirational lectures on video game development, teams (up to 5 members) and individuals will have the opportunity to express their creativity in a 24-hour event. Each team is provided with a level playing field, one computer with appropriate video game development programs (Unity and Unreal).
Representatives of the Serbian and World Business Angels Association ABAS (Association of Business Angels of Serbia) and WBAF (World Business Angels Investment Forum) will present their experiences in creating an effective ecosystem for startup development. During the event, attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the principles of ABAS and WBAF, ways to apply and approach BA, how to interest potential investors for their ideas, how to find new markets, and the importance of international cooperation in financing and developing startups.
